The current economy has hit millions of hard working businesses and American families very hard. Many families and individuals have been victims of circumstances that are beyond their control and have been left with no option other than bankruptcy. Bankruptcy filings have been moving up rapidly the last three years. In 2007 there were 700,000 filings, in 2008 900,000 and in 2009 over 1,200,000 bankruptcies were filled. This was an all time high in 2009 and it is likely to be surpassed in 2010.
